Recap of Today’s Webcast: Driving SharePoint adoption in Notes Shops
According to a recent study conducted by Infotrends, SharePoint adoption falls far short of SharePoint deployment. Today, of the 62.2% of employees who now have access to SharePoint, only 23.8% access it at least once daily.
During today’s Webcast, Yaacov Cohen, CEO of Mainsoft, discussed the latest SharePoint adoption trends; the impact that SharePoint-email integration has on user adoption; and IT options for IBM customers that want to integrate email with SharePoint – including migrating to Outlook and Exchange and Lotus Notes-SharePoint coexistence strategies.
Jonas Martinsson, a Mainsoft product manager, demoed SharePoint Integrator for Lotus Notes 2.0 and previewed upcoming features that will be available in the 2.5 release, including Lotus Notes integration with SharePoint social software as well as SharePoint integration with Microsoft Outlook.
