SharePoint & Lotus

Yaacov Cohen, CEO of Mainsoft, discussed user adoption challenges that Lotus enterprises face when deploying SharePoint.  Most Notes users tend to resist adopting SharePoint because their user experience is fragmented: SharePoint is difficult to access and difficult to use from a Web browser. To overcome this challenge, Yaacov discussed the opportunity to promote user adoption by integrating SharePoint with email, and he reviewed IT options for integrating the two channels – including email migration and Notes-SharePoint coexistence strategies.
 
Jonas Martinsson, a Mainsoft product manager, demoed SharePoint Integrator for Lotus Notes, including a preview of Notes integration with SharePoint social software. Our partners shared commonly-asked questions among IBM customers.
